Ashley Mathai is a board-certified mental health nurse practitioner. Ashley partners with her patients to help them achieve their goals by providing holistic, personalized mental health care. During sessions, patients can expect active listening, respect, empathy, collaboration, and, most importantly, trust. She aims to support her patients so they can have holistic, culturally competent, wellness-focused services. Ashley has been providing therapy since 2018 and works with patients ages 18 and 60. She primarily uses emotionally focused therapy. She has experience treating mood disorders, ADHD, anxiety, depression, grief, life transitions, obsessive-compulsive disorder, self-esteem problems, sleep disorders, stress, trauma, PTSD, gender issues, mood disorders, and more. In her spare time, Ashley loves dancing, painting, spending time with family, and watching movies. She speaks English and Malayalam. Ashley enjoys working with SohoMD because of the company’s reputation and the ability to work from home so she can be there for her four children.

Angeli Pemberton is a licensed mental health coun-selor. Angeli’s approach is warm, compassionate, andpatient-centered. This DBT-informed therapist helpspatients become more empowered by teachingthem skills to manage their emotions and increasemindfulness. Angeli works especially well with indi-viduals who may not have felt safe, loved, or validatedin their relationships in the past. Her background intreating patients provides her with a unique frame-work that helps her guide individuals in exploringtheir issues’ root causes.
Angeli treats patients ages 18-55. She specializes intreating depression, anxiety, self-esteem challenges,relationship issues, and stress related to life transi-tions (career changes, parenting challenges, divorce,etc.). Angeli uses a psychodynamic approach to helppatients explore their past and gain self-awarenesswhen needed. She also uses solution-focused,strengths-based, and cognitive-behavioral therapyapproaches to alleviate symptoms. In her spare time,Angeli loves to write and play music. She grew up inTrinidad and Tobago.
