Meateran Funwi is a board-certified mental health nurse practitioner. Meateran supports his patients with compassion, empathy, clear communication, and problem-solving skills. He knows his patients often face challenges in their day-to-day lives and relationships in addition to their mental health concerns. His main goal is to help his patients pursue more enjoyable lives.
Meateran uses cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavioral therapy, rational emotive behavior therapy, and cognitive therapy. Meateran works with patients ages 6-64 and provides medication management for ADHD, anxiety, maladaptive coping skills, depression, grief, life transitions, obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), peer relationships, relationship issues, school issues, self-esteem problems, sleep disorders, insomnia, stress, divorce, dual diagnoses, trauma, PTSD, impulse and control disorders, and mood disorders. Outside of work, Meateran enjoys soccer, gardening, rabbit farming, and swimming and he has military background and still serving as navy officer.

Angeli Pemberton is a licensed mental health coun-selor. Angeli’s approach is warm, compassionate, andpatient-centered. This DBT-informed therapist helpspatients become more empowered by teachingthem skills to manage their emotions and increasemindfulness. Angeli works especially well with indi-viduals who may not have felt safe, loved, or validatedin their relationships in the past. Her background intreating patients provides her with a unique frame-work that helps her guide individuals in exploringtheir issues’ root causes.
Angeli treats patients ages 18-55. She specializes intreating depression, anxiety, self-esteem challenges,relationship issues, and stress related to life transi-tions (career changes, parenting challenges, divorce,etc.). Angeli uses a psychodynamic approach to helppatients explore their past and gain self-awarenesswhen needed. She also uses solution-focused,strengths-based, and cognitive-behavioral therapyapproaches to alleviate symptoms. In her spare time,Angeli loves to write and play music. She grew up inTrinidad and Tobago.
