Vanessa is a board-certified mental health nurse practitioner. Throughout our lives we encounter difficult situations and stressors that can make us feel overwhelmed, anxious, or depressed which can lead to other difficulties. However, Vanessa believes every client is unique and will work with you by evaluating both biological and psychosocial influences which may cause added stress. Her goal is to help you strengthen your overall well-being. During sessions, Vanessa will practice with a person-centered approach with the goal of fostering a trusting and collaborative relationship. This allows her to provide a safe and healing environment to work through life’s many challenges. She works with clients ages 8-65 using a combination of psychotherapy such as person-centered, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and psychodynamic therapy with medication management as well as a variety of holistic approaches such as mindfulness, journaling, diet, and exercise. Vanessa treats those experiencing ADHD, anxiety, maladaptive coping skills, depression, grief, life transitions, medication managements, obsessive compulsive (OCD), relationship issues, school issues, self-esteem issues, sleep issues, insomnia, stress, trauma, and PTSD.

Angeli Pemberton is a licensed mental health coun-selor. Angeli’s approach is warm, compassionate, andpatient-centered. This DBT-informed therapist helpspatients become more empowered by teachingthem skills to manage their emotions and increasemindfulness. Angeli works especially well with indi-viduals who may not have felt safe, loved, or validatedin their relationships in the past. Her background intreating patients provides her with a unique frame-work that helps her guide individuals in exploringtheir issues’ root causes.
Angeli treats patients ages 18-55. She specializes intreating depression, anxiety, self-esteem challenges,relationship issues, and stress related to life transi-tions (career changes, parenting challenges, divorce,etc.). Angeli uses a psychodynamic approach to helppatients explore their past and gain self-awarenesswhen needed. She also uses solution-focused,strengths-based, and cognitive-behavioral therapyapproaches to alleviate symptoms. In her spare time,Angeli loves to write and play music. She grew up inTrinidad and Tobago.
