Fady Henein

Psychiatrist, Florida

Dr. Henein is a board certified psychiatrist who completed his residency training at Henry Ford Health System in Detroit, MI. He has experience in both inpatient and outpatient Psychiatry, Addiction Medicine, Consultation-Liaison service, Geriatric Psychiatry, Forensic Psychiatry and Child and Adolescent Psychiatry. 

Upon completion of residency, Dr. Henein has served as the medical director of St Illa Crisis Stabilization Unit in Waycross, GA. During his employment with Unison Behavioral Health, he has helped develop Medication Assisted Treatment program to treat individuals who struggle with Opioid Use Disorder. Presently, Dr. Henein also serves as staff psychiatrist in the inpatient and outpatient programs with Wekiva Springs Center in Jacksonville, FL.

Dr. Henein has a keen interest in dual diagnoses and the relationship between substance use and mental health. He has provided presentations at the American Psychiatric Association Meetings and the Doctor of Ministry Conference at Ecumenical Theological Seminary. His publications include “Prospective Study of Antidepressant Adherence and Suicidal Ideation among adults”, in the Primary Care Companion for CNS disorders. And “Long-term Management of Low Back Pain with Opioids and NSAIDs in a Health System” published in American Journal of Preventive Medicine.
