Peter Bongiorno is a naturopathic doctor. Since beginning to work with patients in 2004, Dr. Bongiorno has been passionate about supporting patients in their healing. He uses a common-sense natural medicine approach combined with cutting-edge medical science. Dr. Bongiorno uses an individualized treatment plan, blending compassion with a determination to pinpoint and address any underlying causes of the patient’s concerns. His goal is to inspire patients so that true healing, including healing from underlying causes of symptoms, can occur. During their first session, patients can expect to spend almost an hour and a half discussing their full story with Dr. Bongiorno. Patients can expect to be treated with empathy, understanding, and care.
Dr. Bongiorno uses a blend of naturopathic medicine and Chinese medicine to treat patients. Treatment plans may include support with diet, exercise, counseling, food, sleep work, relaxation work, musculoskeletal support, supplements, acupuncture, and Chinese herbs. Dr. Bongiorno treats ADHD, anxiety, depression, grief, life transitions, obsessive-compulsive disorder, relationship issues, self-esteem problems, insomnia, stress, trauma, PTSD, mood disorders, smoking cessation, and more. When he’s not at work, Dr. Bongiorno enjoys playing the drums, writing, and recording music. He also loves cooking, running, and going to museums. Dr. Bongiorno enjoys working with SohoMD because of its supportive, nurturing environment. Rather than operating from a scarcity mindset, he enjoys that SohoMD seeks to uplift its partners.

Medical Insurance Overview
Most of our providers are in-network with the following plans: Cigna, Meritain Health, Optum (Oscar, Oxford Health Plans, UnitedHealthcare) and Wellfleet. Fees for treatment vary depending on length of appointment and type of treatment received. Payment should be made at the time of the visit. We do accept all major credit cards, HSA, and FSA.
