Macbarbara Amaechi is a board-certified psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner. Macbarbara’s focuses are on medication management, psychiatric evaluation, and psychotherapy. She strives to tailor treatment to suit every individual’s needs. Her goal is to educate patients on their options and promote health and wellness in a compassionate, empathetic setting. Her mantra for patients is “You don’t have to struggle in silence. You will smile again!” Macbarbara’s patients can expect an individualized treatment plan that will continue until they feel stable and whole again.
Macbarbara treats patients with a variety of mental illnesses in diverse populations. She works to ensure equality, fairness, and safety through hard work, attention to detail, and excellent organizational skills. She uses innovative, evidence-based practices to reach the patient’s desired outcomes. Macbarbara has worked in healthcare since 2012 and has been treating patients with mental illness since 2020. She works with patients dealing with depression, PTSD, anxiety, ADHD, insomnia, trauma, mood disorders, and more. When she’s not at work, Macbarbara enjoys traveling, playing music, and watching movies with her family. Medical Insurance Overview
Most of our providers are in-network with the following plans: Cigna, Meritain Health, Optum (Oscar, Oxford Health Plans, UnitedHealthcare) and Wellfleet. Fees for treatment vary depending on length of appointment and type of treatment received. Payment should be made at the time of the visit. We do accept all major credit cards, HSA, and FSA.
