Jill Atkinson is a clinical psychologist. Jill treats adolescents, adults, and families. She believes a patient’s voice and choice should be at the center of all treatment. Her approach is based on listening to every patient’s needs so she can help them achieve their goals. Jill sees her job as helping her patients find healthy ways to deal with life’s stresses and difficulties so they can free themselves from suffering.
We all deserve to be happy and healthy, and her goal is to help her patients find happiness. Jill has been providing therapy since 1994 and treats patients ages 12-60. She uses a blend of mindfulness, cognitive behavioral therapy, positive psychology, and trauma-informed techniques to meet patient needs. She has experience treating depression, anxiety, trauma, psychosis, traumatic brain injuries, and more. In her spare time, Jill loves to hike, rock climb, ice climb, and backpack. She loves photography, nature writing, and reading. She has 3 goats, 20 chickens, and 3 dogs. Jill enjoys working with SohoMD because of the organization’s stability.
Medical Insurance Overview
Most of our providers are in-network with the following plans: Cigna, Meritain Health, Optum (Oscar, Oxford Health Plans, UnitedHealthcare) and Wellfleet. Fees for treatment vary depending on length of appointment and type of treatment received. Payment should be made at the time of the visit. We do accept all major credit cards, HSA, and FSA.
