Raven Aponte is a licensed mental health counselor. Raven provides a warm, person-specific therapeutic environment. Her goal is to create a space that fosters trust and openness so patients can believe growth and change are possible. Raven takes a cognitive-behavioral stance, which means she often approaches issues by helping patients recognize and develop helpful, healthy thought patterns. She also works with patients to strategize and develop methods to cope with their current stressors. Her therapy perspective is strengths-based, psychodynamic, and trauma-focused.
Since she started providing therapy in 2019, Raven has gained experience treating concerns like transgenerational trauma, mood disorders, ADHD, anxiety, depression, obsessive-compulsive disorder, grief, autism, and stress. In her spare time, Raven enjoys traveling, going to museums, and doing anything food or music-related. Skydiving, participating in the Holi festival, and writing a novel are all on her bucket list. Raven enjoys working with SohoMD because of the support it offers providers.
Medical Insurance Overview
Most of our providers are in-network with the following plans: Cigna, Meritain Health, Optum (Oscar, Oxford Health Plans, UnitedHealthcare) and Wellfleet. Fees for treatment vary depending on length of appointment and type of treatment received. Payment should be made at the time of the visit. We do accept all major credit cards, HSA, and FSA.
