Elizabeth Fumia is a licensed clinical social worker. Elizabeth places a primary emphasis on patient care and treating each patient as an individual. Her ultimate goal is to support patients in becoming the best possible versions of themselves. Elizabeth approaches each session with an eye for productivity and respect, aiming to provide her patients with the encouragement and strength they need to overcome life’s challenges. To do this, she combines multiple types of therapy to meet each patient’s individual needs. These include CBT, motivational interviewing, solution-focused therapy, mindfulness, and strength-based therapy. Her goal is to help patients heal, rather than simply cope.

Elizabeth treats anxiety, depression, self-esteem concerns, emotional regulation difficulties, grief, relationship issues, sleep disorders and mood disorders. She has provided therapy since 2012 – first in an outpatient setting, then privately with SohoMD since 2020. Elizabeth loves working with SohoMD because they’re committed to providing patient-centered care. In her spare time, Elizabeth loves cooking, hiking, camping, and traveling. She has 3 dogs named Darth Vader, Nalah, and Kalani.
