Aïcha Nadifi is a licensed clinical social worker. Aïcha is passionate about helping her patients explore the wonderful complexities of identity, culture, gender, and race. Her treatment approach is to work collaboratively, invite her patients to examine their concerns and experiences without judgment, identify and expand on their treatment goals, and review progress. Her ultimate goal is to foster a better understanding of the self so her patients can move through the world with a bit more ease and self-assurance. In sessions, Aïcha provides a safe and empathetic space where she can work with patients to reignite their strengths and counter barriers.

She uses a mixture of talk therapy, assignments, and mindfulness techniques to cultivate healthy coping skills to work through challenges, leading to a life with more wholeness and ease. Aïcha has been providing therapy since 2016 and works with patients ages 16-40. She has experience addressing issues like anxiety, depression, grief, life transitions, relationship issues, self-esteem problems, stress, trauma, PTSD, and women’s issues. Aïcha uses a combination of cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavioral therapy, harm reduction, motivational interviewing, psychodynamic, solution-focused, and strengths-based therapies to adapt to her patient’s needs. Outside of work, Aïcha loves traveling, baking, and watching sitcoms from her adolescence while sipping a cup of tea. One fun fact about her is that she moved to South Korea after college and spent a year teaching English. Aïcha speaks English and Moroccan Arabic. Aïcha enjoys working with SohoMD because it makes mental health care accessible, which allows her to see her patients more consistently.
