Ann M. Hetzel is a licensed clinical psychologist. Ann is a compassionate, well-trained provider who takes a holistic approach. She considers all aspects of her patients when developing a treatment plan. She listens carefully and observes her patients openly to hear and experience each person’s unique story. Her ultimate goal is to help her patients develop and grow in self-worth and self-love. During sessions with Ann, patients can expect comprehensive treatment provided with compassion and respect. She sees listening as an integral part of her job and asks clarifying questions frequently to ensure she’s on the same page with her patients. Ann has been working with patients since 1999 and provides services to patients ages 5 through 60.

She takes a special interest in treating autism spectrum disorder in children and adults. She also addresses LGBTQ+ issues. Ann incorporates acceptance and commitment therapy, cognitive processing therapy, eye movement desensitization and reprocessing, cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavioral therapy, humanistic therapy, exposure and response prevention (ERT), and mindfulness into her treatment plans. In her spare time, Ann loves spending time with her husband and pets (a cat named Zopa and a pug named Falafel). She is a classically-trained musician and former band director. She loves cows, especially Holsteins and Highland Cattle. Ann enjoys working with SohoMD because of the company’s unique approach to mental health services.
