Meet Ashanti Boston
Ashanti Boston is a licensed mental health counselor. When working with Ashanti, patients can expect to feel heard, seen, and validated. She never forces her own values onto patients and always lends a judgment-free listening ear. Her goal is to motivate patients to achieve and maintain a better quality of life. Ashanti works with patients to explore within themselves, builds insight surrounding the issues they face, and helps them enact healthy behavioral changes. She is flexible in her treatment approaches, which allows her to provide individualized care.
Ashanti specializes in trauma and stage-of-life difficulties. She works with a diverse range of patients, including all races, gender identities, sexual orientations, cultures, socioeconomic classes, and disability statuses. She incorporates cognitive behavioral therapy, psychodynamic theory, existential theory, person-centered theory, feminist theory, and solution-focused theory into her treatment plans. Since beginning working with patients in 2017, Ashanti has gained experience treating ADHD, anxiety, depression, grief, trauma, life transitions, relationship issues, sleep disorders, stress, PTSD, mood disorders, women’s issues, and more. In her spare time, Ashanti loves watching anime and reading comics. She also enjoys cosplaying. Ashanti enjoys working with SohoMD for the accessibility it offers patients and providers.

Medical Insurance Overview
Most of our providers are in-network with the following plans: Cigna, Meritain Health, Optum (Oscar, Oxford Health Plans, UnitedHealthcare) and Wellfleet. Fees for treatment vary depending on length of appointment and type of treatment received. Payment should be made at the time of the visit. We do accept all major credit cards, HSA, and FSA.
