Bari Wartell is a licensed clinical social worker. Are you struggling with anxiety, depression, or concentration issues? Have you experienced trauma in your past that is impacting your current relationships and ability to remain calm? If so, Bari can work with you to identify unhelpful thinking patterns and highlight your strengths to help you meet your goals. Bari’s goal is to help patients develop healthier, adaptive coping mechanisms. When working with Bari, patients can expect a warm, trusting, authentic relationship in a nonjudgmental environment. She challenges and supports her patients in coming to transformative resolutions. Her approach to therapy is built on a foundation of collaboration, respect, and empathy.

Bari has specialty training in trauma-informed care, has experience treating various mental illnesses, and takes a holistic approach to treatment. She uses a combination of cognitive-behavioral, motivational interviewing, strengths-based, emotional freedom techniques, and EMDR therapies to support her patients. Bari has been providing therapy since 2012 and is comfortable working with patients aged 18-50. In her spare time, Bari enjoys music, art, cooking, and spending time with friends and family. Her favorite band is Phish. Bari enjoys working with SohoMD because of its innovative, flexible, and supportive environment.

Medical Insurance Overview

Most of our providers are in-network with the following plans: Cigna, Meritain Health, Optum (Oscar, Oxford Health Plans, UnitedHealthcare) and Wellfleet. Fees for treatment vary depending on length of appointment and type of treatment received. Payment should be made at the time of the visit. We do accept all major credit cards, HSA, and FSA.
