Christine Ruiz is a licensed clinical social worker. Christine is passionate about supporting people as they work toward their goals. She seeks to inspire her patients so they can become their best selves. Christine focuses on helping individuals heal and tap into their inner strengths. She achieves this by providing a neutral safe space, listening to her patient's concerns, and customizing a treatment plan that factors in the patient's cultural background, life experience, and personal goals. Christine has been providing therapy since 2016 and works with patients ages 7-50.
She creates individualized treatment plans by pulling techniques from trauma-focused cognitive behavioral therapy, solution-focused therapy, narrative therapy, and motivational interviewing. Christine has extensive experience working with trauma and is very interactive in-session with resources and activities. She often assists patients dealing with anxiety, break-ups, healing from abuse or trauma, and negative self-talk. She also has experience working with survivors of domestic violence, human trafficking, sexual violence, children with behavioral concerns, adoptees, and those involved in the foster care system. She is culturally sensitive and provides services in both English and Spanish. In her spare time, Christine loves traveling, learning about new cultures, and spending time with family and friends. Christine enjoys working with SohoMD because it allows her to do what she loves from the comfort of her own home.

Medical Insurance Overview
Most of our providers are in-network with the following plans: Cigna, Meritain Health, Optum (Oscar, Oxford Health Plans, UnitedHealthcare) and Wellfleet. Fees for treatment vary depending on length of appointment and type of treatment received. Payment should be made at the time of the visit. We do accept all major credit cards, HSA, and FSA.
