Lisbeth Parra is a licensed mental health counselor. Lisbeth provides compassionate, patient-centered care for people struggling with mental health issues. She understands that her patients are dealing with the stressors of everyday life, uncovering childhood trauma and its effects on their current reality, and feeling the anxiety that impacts their daily reality. Her goal is to instill a sense of strength in every patient so they can see that they have the power to live the life that they deserve. During sessions with Lisbeth, patients can expect a supportive and empathetic environment where they can talk about their difficulties and obstacles without judgment. They can expect warmth and unconditional positive regard. They can also expect someone who focuses on their strengths and resilience.
Lisbeth’s therapy toolkit includes cognitive behavioral therapy, psychodynamic therapy, motivational interviewing, relational approaches, and emotionally focused therapy. Lisbeth has been providing therapy since 2018 and works with patients ages 13-64. She treats anxiety, depression, life transitions, relationship issues, sleep issues, trauma, women’s issues, mood disorders, and more. Outside of work, Lisbeth reads and writes poetry, experiments with skincare, and spends time with friends, family, and her dog Layla. She speaks English and Spanish. Lisbeth enjoys working at SohoMD because of the “ecosystem” structure. Knowing that she has a team of clinicians supporting the well-being of her patients is something she values tremendously.

Medical Insurance Overview
Most of our providers are in-network with the following plans: Cigna, Meritain Health, Optum (Oscar, Oxford Health Plans, UnitedHealthcare) and Wellfleet. Fees for treatment vary depending on length of appointment and type of treatment received. Payment should be made at the time of the visit. We do accept all major credit cards, HSA, and FSA.
