Samantha Seligman is a licensed clinical social worker. Samantha provides a safe environment for patients to express themselves. She is there to provide emotional support and to make sure they are caring for their overall health. She is a patient-centered therapist who uses active listening to address various areas of life, including physical and mental health. She is open to problem-solving ways to navigate life problems and meet the client where they are. Her goal is to support patients as they adopt an optimal, holistic lifestyle that works for them. Samantha has worked with patients who suffer from a generalized anxiety disorder, persistent depressive disorder, obsessive-compulsive disorder, and more.
She uses evidence-based practices including cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavioral therapy, strengths-based therapy, task-oriented therapy, motivational interviewing, and narrative therapy to help her patients. Samantha is flexible in meeting her patients where they are, encouraging them to advocate for themselves, emphasizing the importance of self-care, and believing in appreciating every accomplishment – no matter how big or small. She has been providing therapy since 2018. Outside of work, Samantha enjoys watching TV, listening to music, painting, and practicing mindfulness. She has two cats and has heard that her name means “good listener.” Samantha enjoys working for SohoMD because it’s an open, accepting environment that welcomes growth for staff and patients alike. She loves SohoMD’s integrative approach and its belief in holistic care.

Medical Insurance Overview
Most of our providers are in-network with the following plans: Cigna, Meritain Health, Optum (Oscar, Oxford Health Plans, UnitedHealthcare) and Wellfleet. Fees for treatment vary depending on length of appointment and type of treatment received. Payment should be made at the time of the visit. We do accept cash, all major credit cards, HSA, and FSA.
