Shanet Rampersaud is a licensed clinical social worker. Shanet is passionate about supporting patients in their healing journey and takes pride in offering engaging, warm, and reliable care. She cultivates a trauma-informed, culturally-sensitive therapeutic space. Shanet’s patients often struggle with depression, anxiety, grief, trauma, and codependency. They may feel stuck, invalidated, ashamed, or in a chronic state of fight or flight. Shanet guides her patients in deepening their self-awareness, cultivating authentic values, and shifting inner narratives to improve their well-being.

Shanet uses cognitive-behavioral therapy as her primary modality. She also uses relational, person-centered, and meaning-centered approaches, as well as other tools and evidence-based practices like psychoeducation, worksheets, and out-of-session activities to help patients develop new coping strategies. Shanet works with patients ages 18-65. She is passionate about treating trauma, including complex trauma, as well as anxiety, coping skills, depression, grief, life transitions, peer relationships, relationship issues, self-esteem problems, stress, divorce, infidelity, trauma, PTSD, and women’s issues. In her free time, Shanet loves spending time in nature.
