About Dawn

Dawn Welch is a licensed clinical social worker. Since beginning to treat patients in 2000, Dawn has aimed to support clients through the healing and recovery process so they can live more fulfilling lives. She accomplishes this by using evidence-based practices and good listening skills. Dawn incorporates solution-focused, motivational interviewing, EMDR, trauma-focused cognitive behavioral therapy, person-centered, and integrative therapy techniques into her practice. She specializes in treating anxiety, depression, behavioral concerns, and adjustment disorder, but also has experience with a breadth of other conditions as well. Outside of work, Dawn enjoys cooking, gardening, shopping, and visiting national parks. She has 3 pet miniature Schnauzers! Dawn enjoys working with SohoMD because of the friendly and supportive staff.

About Angeli

Angeli Pemberton is a licensed mental health coun-selor. Angeli’s approach is warm, compassionate, andpatient-centered. This DBT-informed therapist helpspatients become more empowered by teachingthem skills to manage their emotions and increasemindfulness. Angeli works especially well with indi-viduals who may not have felt safe, loved, or validatedin their relationships in the past. Her background intreating patients provides her with a unique frame-work that helps her guide individuals in exploringtheir issues’ root causes.

Angeli treats patients ages 18-55. She specializes intreating depression, anxiety, self-esteem challenges,relationship issues, and stress related to life transi-tions (career changes, parenting challenges, divorce,etc.). Angeli uses a psychodynamic approach to helppatients explore their past and gain self-awarenesswhen needed. She also uses solution-focused,strengths-based, and cognitive-behavioral therapyapproaches to alleviate symptoms. In her spare time,Angeli loves to write and play music. She grew up inTrinidad and Tobago.
