Foluke Akinola is a board-certified mental health nurse practitioner. Foluke knows that whatever her patients are dealing with, teamwork is essential to the therapeutic relationship. She believes in her patients and is there to support them with empathy and lack of judgment. Her goal is to celebrate growth and help her patients become the best versions of themselves. Foluke works with teens and adults to treat ADHD, anxiety, depression, obsessive-compulsive disorder, sleep issues, PTSD, and mood disorders. Through individual psychotherapy and medication management, she helps her patients find treatment solutions. Foluke has been providing therapy since 2022 and has over a decade of diverse psychiatric experience in various settings. Outside of work, Foluke enjoys networking with others and spending much-needed quality time with family and friends. She is fluent in Yoruba. One fun fact about her is that she practically raised herself. Foluke likes working for SohoMD because of its positive reputation and work-life balance.

Angeli Pemberton is a licensed mental health coun-selor. Angeli’s approach is warm, compassionate, andpatient-centered. This DBT-informed therapist helpspatients become more empowered by teachingthem skills to manage their emotions and increasemindfulness. Angeli works especially well with indi-viduals who may not have felt safe, loved, or validatedin their relationships in the past. Her background intreating patients provides her with a unique frame-work that helps her guide individuals in exploringtheir issues’ root causes.
Angeli treats patients ages 18-55. She specializes intreating depression, anxiety, self-esteem challenges,relationship issues, and stress related to life transi-tions (career changes, parenting challenges, divorce,etc.). Angeli uses a psychodynamic approach to helppatients explore their past and gain self-awarenesswhen needed. She also uses solution-focused,strengths-based, and cognitive-behavioral therapyapproaches to alleviate symptoms. In her spare time,Angeli loves to write and play music. She grew up inTrinidad and Tobago.
