About Uzoamaka

Amaka Orji has several years of experience working in community mental health. While her primary role is medication management, she tries to incorporate psychotherapy when treating mental health disorders. Her skill set focuses on the major depressive disorder, generalized anxiety disorder, and ADHD. Amaka encourages clients to approach their mental health holistically and thinking outside the box.   Amaka loves to perform and has a great sense of humor- ask any of her coworkers. Her interest includes improv, sketch comedy, screenwriting, singing, musical theater, and anything else she can do to perform.

About Angeli

Angeli Pemberton is a licensed mental health coun-selor. Angeli’s approach is warm, compassionate, andpatient-centered. This DBT-informed therapist helpspatients become more empowered by teachingthem skills to manage their emotions and increasemindfulness. Angeli works especially well with indi-viduals who may not have felt safe, loved, or validatedin their relationships in the past. Her background intreating patients provides her with a unique frame-work that helps her guide individuals in exploringtheir issues’ root causes.

Angeli treats patients ages 18-55. She specializes intreating depression, anxiety, self-esteem challenges,relationship issues, and stress related to life transi-tions (career changes, parenting challenges, divorce,etc.). Angeli uses a psychodynamic approach to helppatients explore their past and gain self-awarenesswhen needed. She also uses solution-focused,strengths-based, and cognitive-behavioral therapyapproaches to alleviate symptoms. In her spare time,Angeli loves to write and play music. She grew up inTrinidad and Tobago.
