Marisol Cordero is a licensed clinical social worker. As a caring, understanding provider, Marisol offers emotional support in a non-judgmental environment. She works closely with her patients to help them tap into their inner strengths. Her goal is to engage with her patients, empowering them so they can achieve their highest potential. Marisol understands that her patients are dealing with social and emotional issues on top of the complexities of life. Some individuals are struggling with life stressors, like career or family changes. Others are dealing with social anxiety and struggle to form positive relationships with others. Some have little or no social support.
During sessions, Marisol uses cognitive behavioral therapy, psychodynamic therapy, and social learning theory to support and empower her patients. Marisol has been providing therapy since 2016 and works with patients ages 18-64. She treats anxiety, depression, grief, life transitions, relationship and school issues, self-esteem problems, stress, and trauma. Outside of work, Marisol enjoys sightseeing and taking road trips to historical locations around the country. She loves nature walks and shopping for home décor. She is an animal lover and especially loves dogs. She speaks English and Spanish. Marisol enjoys working for SohoMD because it’s clear that the company cares about its staff and their work-life balance. Medical Insurance Overview
Most of our providers are in-network with the following plans: Cigna, Meritain Health, Optum (Oscar, Oxford Health Plans, UnitedHealthcare) and Wellfleet. Fees for treatment vary depending on length of appointment and type of treatment received. Payment should be made at the time of the visit. We do accept all major credit cards, HSA, and FSA.
